Established in 1977, The Roof Doctor began when Michael Day started taking on roofing side jobs with his brother on weekends. Michael’s brother, Ray, worked on commercial roofs during the week as a foreman, and together with the help of their other brothers, they formed a business. Like many in the trade, that business did not last. Michael then continued on his own, working as a subcontractor for larger companies and building his experience in the industry.

As a child, current owner Anthony Day worked alongside his father and, at times, his uncle Ray, learning the trade firsthand through labor and dedication. Over the years, Anthony developed a deep understanding of roofing and construction, becoming highly skilled in all aspects of the business. When he took full control of his father’s company at a young age, he quickly focused on growing and strengthening the business. Under his leadership, the company was rebranded and continued to evolve.

Over time, The Roof Doctor became highly experienced in insurance restoration. Around 2012, the company expanded by acquiring The Gutter Genie reverse curve topper systems. Together, The Roof Doctor and The Gutter Genie have continued to grow and are now recognized as one of the most trusted names in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana.
